SOPHOMORES-Applications for the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar (HOBY) are now available at MCHS. This is a great way to gain leadership experience! Only 2 sophomores will be chosen to represent MCHS. The application can be picked up at MCHS or we can email it to you. The application is due to Katherine Morgan no later than 2024TBA. Email your completed application to katherine.morgan@madison.kyschools.us. Check out the link below for more information!

This scholarship was established to help students whose ACT test scores or GPAs might not be the best, but have the drive to succeed. The founder of this scholarship was determined to go to college, but his test scores and GPA were low. He received many rejection letters. He persevered, living off many PB&J sandwiches his first year of college, and is now helping others who face similar obstacles.

Southern Kentucky Area Health Education Center,  AHED 

The University of Kentucky's Professional Education Preparation Program (PEPP) is a great enrichment opportunity for high school seniors with an interest in dental or medical school. The following link will direct you to the webpage with additional information. PEPP Applications must contain the following:

  1. Personal statement (limit 3000 characters)
  2. Letter of recommendation from a teacher
  3. Unofficial high school transcript
  4. UK PEPP Scholars Application
  5. A copy of ACT/SAT score
  6. A copy of photo ID

Governor’s Scholar Program Deadline

Governor's Scholars for Entrepreneurs  (GSE)

Governor's Scholars for Entrepreneurs  (GSE) is now accepting applications for Summer 2023. GSE brings teens together from around the state of Kentucky, immerses them in a creative space, and arms them with the tools they need to unleash their entrepreneurial spirits. This free, prestigious program will take place on Northern Kentucky University's campus and is open to all current 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students.
